It's FINALLY spring in Colorado! This last winter was unseasonably cold and snowy, so I'm particularly antsy to get back outside and enjoy the weather! We'll be adding a few new things to the backyard this spring and I can't wait to share it all! We're jumping into the Spring 2023 One Room Challenge for the final phase of the backyard. If you've been following along, you know we tackled a lot of work last fall for the Fall installment. However, the Colorado weather brought snow the week that our big reveal was planned. With the leaves gone and the new lawn under snow, the big reveal just wouldn't be quite the same, so I decided to wait until the snow melted and sun returned to share all the progress. Which means, this reveal is going to be a double reveal!
If you missed it, you can read up on what we worked on last fall.
We love cooking and entertaining and so this spring, we'll be adding a kitchenette to the backyard. We received a pizza oven as a gift for Christmas and have loved making wood fired pizzas. It's been sitting on a stack of cinder blocks to date, but it's final home will include prep space, storage space for utensils and firewood, and protection from the elements.
I also really enjoy gardening and will be adding raised gardening beds with drip irrigation. There's nothing like picking fresh herbs and veggies right off the vine!
In addition to a new kitchenette and veggie garden, I'll share the DIY projects that we did last fall.
